Background:
The Department trains students specializing in Posture Cultivation to promote good posture and prevent posture defects in children and adolescents, and to diagnose and rehabilitate disabilities. Work is done in cooperation with physicians and orthodpedists.
Curriculum:
Studies include: Good posture and its importance in terms of health, functioning and sports; anatomical background; the physiology and biomechanics of proper posture; mans of diagnosing and identifying posture disabilities; distinguishing between various types of posture problems; principles of posture rehabilitation.
Employment opportunities:
School posture cultivation programs (in community centers as well), alternative/supplementary health clinics, cooperative work with orthopedists and/or physiotherapists in private clinics, posture cultivation groups in community sports centers or as part of gym activities, private posture treatments.
