DIRECTOR: ALEX GUTMAN (M.A.)
INTRODUCTION
The Center treats children and adolescents, ages 4-15, with motor development problems. The children suffer from impaired motor functioning, clumsiness, learning disabilities and motor immaturity. The Center diagnoses and treats developmental disorders and motor functioning problems in children, by developing the basic skills required for school and home such as gross and fine motor coordination, visual perception, coordination between body parts, eye-hand coordination, balance, body-image, muscle strength, etc. After the diagnosis a personal motor program is designed based on the findings and on the individual child.
Parents receive a detailed work plan for daily activity at home.
The Center advises parents about how to implement the program and increase parent-child cooperation. It is also possible to arrange individual instruction and treatment.
Improved motor functioning contributes to greater self-confidence, progress in studies, better concentration, sociability and enjoyment of life.
